The WI Sports Awards Scholarship Contest – First Place Prize: $5,000 scholarship awarded to one male and one female athlete.  Runner up Prize: $2,000 scholarship awarded to one male and one female athlete.  More information and application online at www.cousinssubs.com/scholarship.

Saint Elizabeth’s Lucille Burrichter Scholarship – One student from Alma High School who is pursuing a health care career will receive this scholarship.  Applications are available from Ms. Fluekiger.

Pepin County Farm Management Club – a $500 scholarship is available to a youth entering any area of study related to agriculture.  Payment takes place during the second semester of the first year of higher education.  Applications and essays must be returned by the above date.

Buffalo River Lodge Masonic Scholarship – one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an Alma Student who has earned a 2.75 GPA and who have completed the application procedure.

Alma High School Scholarship (AHSS) – The Alma High School Scholarship provides $800 per semester for four years of full-time study in a four-year college or university degree program.  The applicant must possess a high school GPA of 3.0 or above.  Applicants must submit a transcript, 3 letters of recommendation, list of extra-curricular activities, and essays.

Alma Booster Club Scholarship Application – $250 scholarship will be given to one male athlete and one female athlete.  Any senior who participate in athletics and will be furthering their education at an accredited school may apply.  The athlete must not have ANY code violations during your high school career.  A point system will determine the recipient and GPA’s may be used as a tie-breaker.

Buffalo County Farm Bureau Agricultural Studies Scholarship – Applicant’s must be pursuing an Ag related major at either a 2yr or 4yr institution.  ($250 scholarship – 2yr & $500 scholarship – 4yr)
Applicant must send a letter describing why you chose your major, what your community and school involvement has been (FFA, 4-H, athletics, clubs etc.)  to : Julie Lindstrom, 718 Robert Rd, Durand, WI 54736.

Pepin County Tavern League Scholarship – one $500 scholarship to a 2014 high school graduate who plans to further their education to obtain either an associate or bachelor degree.  The award recognized outstanding leadership, community service, academic excellence and looks at who demonstrates well-roundedness through various activities.  Applicants must submit an essay, letter of recommendation, list of activities and a transcript by the above date.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Art Scholarship – will be awarding one $2,000 scholarship, two $1,000 scholarships, and two $500 scholarships to provide assistance to individuals pursuing education in the visual arts.  Academically capable students must be enrolled as a Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education.

Nelson Lions Club Scholarship – 1 - $500 scholarship will be provided to a senior who resides in the Village or Township of Nelson.  The student must hold a “C” or better grade average.  Preference will be given to students who have financial need, and who do not have many other scholarship awards.
