7-12 GRADE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL HEATHER KOSIK

Welcome to Alma Area Schools! It is my privilege to serve as the 7-12th grade Assistant Principal of this wonderful educational community.

Growing up in Wabasha, Minnesota, I have always appreciated the beauty of the Alma community. Since moving here in 2018, my husband and our three children have been able to fully enjoy everything Alma has to offer. We spend much of our time outdoors, engaging in activities like hunting, fishing, playing various sports, and enjoying the river whenever possible.

I graduated from Wabasha-Kellogg High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Winona State University, where I gained valuable experience working in the WSU Admissions Office. After graduation, I worked at WSU as a Freshman Admissions Counselor, later advancing to Associate Director and Director of Alumni Relations. During this time, I pursued a Master's of Science in School Counseling, completing my licensure in 2017.

I served as the 7-12th grade School Counselor at Wabasha-Kellogg School District for four years and during that time I completed my administrative degree. In my final year at W-K, I was the K-12 Student Services Director. In 2021, I joined the Alma School District as the 7-12th grade School Counselor and added on the role of Assistant Principal in 2022.

Working with the students, staff, and community of Alma daily is a very fulfilling and rewarding role. I truly believe the Alma School District has the best students around! Our staff takes great pride in their work, striving every day to provide students with the best educational experience. I am excited to continue contributing to the success of our school community and look forward to the future!
