The Alma-Pepin Eagles lose a conference game against the CFC Pirates on Friday, December 8th. The Eagles came into the conference game with a one and three record. The night started off with the Alma-Pepin Pep Band entertaining all ears during warmups.
The game started off with a back and forth battle. CFC went into the lead when they took advantage of the Eagles 14 turnovers. CFC’s Cameron Lipinski showed off his talent driving to the basket and shooting, making him end up with 16 points. Alma-Pepin shared the love with the scoring having three different players to have 10 points. Which include Jameson Riesgraf, Evan Olson, and Keegan Stiehl.
During halftime, the Alma-Pepin Eagles dance team’s first performance of the year rocked the crowded house. After halftime, the Eagles rallied together to bring the game to a four point difference. After putting in the effort to close the score gap, the Eagles couldn’t keep up with CFC’s Reed Schmidtknecht who had five steals ending in made fastbreak layups. The Pirates came on top by scoring 24 points in the second half to take the win 57-50.
