On Tuesday, December 10th, the Alma-Pepin Eagles traveled to Blair-Taylor to face the Wildcats. The Wildcat boys had just taken down the Eagles, so the Lady Eagles were coming out wanting the win.
Blair-Taylors, Madalynn Frederixon, hit a three on the first possession of the game to set the tone. Macy Stewart, from Alma-Pepin, hit a two-point jumper to respond. Blair-Taylor overpowered the Eagles with their rebounds. Junior, Andrea Waldera, led the team with 13 rebounds. Since the Wildcats were taking away the paint, Sophomore, Macy Stewart, hit 3 three-pointers in the first half, to finish the first half with 14 points. Going into halftime, Blair-Taylor was confident, having the lead 23-27.
The Eagles came out of halftime determined not to give up. At one point early in the half, they cut the Wildcats' lead to within one point. However, they couldn't hold on. With her height, Blair-Taylor’s Andrea Waldera dominated the paint on offense and ended the game with 18 points. The Wildcats took the conference victory over the Eagles, ending the game 43-48.
