On Monday, December 9th, the Alma-Pepin Eagles boys basketball challenged the Blair-Taylor Wildcats at the Eagle’s home court. The Eagles, coming off a win against Eleva-Strum, were set on defeating the Wildcats.  

The Eagles came out on fire taking a lead of 11-0. The Wildcats finally started to battle back and returned to tie the game 16-16 later in the half. Senior, Mason Westberg, made 3 threes, to finish the first half off with 21 points. The Eagles went into halftime confident, leading 38-28.

Coming out of halftime, both teams played great defense keeping the score at 38-28. When the Wildcat's offense finally started to work, they scored the first points of the second half. The Eagles tried to keep their lead, but senior, Ryan Oldendorf, helped Blair-Taylor come back. Ryan ended the game with 22 points, leading the Wildcats. Late in the second half the Wildcats took the lead of 47-53, and just kept it going from there. The Eagles got the score to within one, but couldn't come back and ended up losing the game 67-71.
