Welcome Back to School Night

WELCOME TO THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS-BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
The School District of Alma is excited to welcome back students and families to a Back
to School Night scheduled for August 26, 2021, between the hours of 4-7 PM. The
purpose of hosting this event is to:
● Have the teaching and support staff meet students and their families in their
classrooms.
● Be-Four through Grade 6 students can drop off supplies in their classrooms.
● Students in grades 7-12 can fill their lockers.
● Drop off all back to school forms-emergency forms, medical forms, etc.
● Pay yearly fees.
To help with the flow of visitors and traffic; as there is a volleyball triangular scrimmage
in the building on this date as well, we are dividing families into two groups for this
event. We are asking that families with LAST NAMES beginning with the letters A
through K attend from 4:00-5:15 and families with LAST NAMES beginning with the
letters L through Z attend from 5:45-7:00. We appreciate your cooperation in following
these two-time frames. If these times do not work for you, please contact one of our
offices.
In addition, the school board will be serving a free meal to all family members from
4-7 PM. Please stop by the paved playground area behind the school to say hi and grab a
delicious hotdog meal. We will have signs pointing you in the right direction and picnic
tables set up outside.
One additional note on bussing is that our drivers have all received their transportation
lists and they will be reaching out to families directly to review pick-up and drop-off
times. Please expect to be contacted this coming week.
We are very excited for our first day of school on Monday, August 30th. It will be great
to once again have our classrooms and hallways filled with students and staff members.
Attached to this email, please find our most up-to-date reopening plan. Please look
through this plan carefully as it provides further detail on school operations during these
inconsistent times.
