The Alma 5th graders went on to the Buffalo County Courthouse for Law Day! They went through a mock trial, they saw a patrol car and K9 partner, and a huge snow plow. We learned how many people help protect our community!
2nd graders have been working on animal research reports. We each picked an animal and used many resources to find out facts about them. We enjoyed becoming mini experts and sharing our reports.
Conference Golf Meet
The Alma-Pepin Golf team went to the Conference Championship meet and did astonishingly well. The team went down to Trempealeau Mountain Golf Course and shot a school record of 341. This score had them take second in the meet. While CFC came first in the meet with an amazing score of 316. The Eagles team medalist was Keegan Stiehl with an 82 while shortly behind was Trenton Krzoska and Anders Johansen with a score of 83. Ridge Lodermeier came in with a score of 93.
After finishing this meet, the team finished second place overall in the conference shortly behind CFC who was recognized to be conference champions. After the final points were given out, Keegan Stiehl made First Team All Conference as well as Trenton Krzoska.
The senior's busy last day included a camp out in Mrs. Kosik's Yard (without her knowledge), graduation practice, Lunch (Provided by J&J's and Mr. Stewart), and a senior sendoff, where the entire school lined up to watch the seniors leave school for the last time. Congratulations to the senior class of 2024! Good luck and thank you for all the memories!
The fourth graders have been studying about the Life Cycle of the Butterfly. They received their live larvae about 28 days ago. They observed the larvae change to a chrysalis and then to a butterfly. The fourth graders were so excited to release the painted lady butterflies yesterday.
On May 13, the 2nd Graders went on their community helpers field trip. We learned about how people help in our community. We would like to thank the Alma Vet Clinic, Alma Bakery, The Bank of Alma, Alma Post Office, Buffalo County Sheriff's Dept., Alma Fire Station, and Alma Public Library for helping us learn today.
Congratulations to the Lady Eagles Softball for becoming conference champions.
Tenth grade student, Trenton Krzoska, is this week's student of the week. Trenton has two older siblings, Alexis and Colton; his parents are Melissa and Chad. Trenton participates in basketball, football, and golf. He spends his free time in the outdoors either hunting or fishing. Trenton selected Mr. Graff as his favorite teacher because he always has a fun time in his class. He enjoys that all of the students at Alma know each other. After graduating high school, Trenton wants to attend the University of Lacrosse for marketing. Trenton’s biggest role model is his father, Chad, because of all of the life lessons he has taught him. Congratulations Trenton on becoming this week's student of the week.

Today, May 8th, the Alma High School helped clean up the Alma community with the annual community clean up. The students assisted with the cleanup of the beach, cemeteries, flowerbeds, and the park. Thank you to all who helped and provided us with the tools, food, and treats afterward.
We’re celebrating Teacher (Staff) Appreciation Week in the Alma School District! 🎉
We wish to express our gratitude for the incredible people who have dedicated their lives to preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
In these final weeks of the school year, we invite families, students, and communities to take some time to reflect on everything our teachers and support staff have done and continue to do to support our students.
Join us in thanking our teachers for all they do!
On Wednesday, May 1st, Judie Sage brought in her spinning wheel and sheep's wool and demonstrated what happens after the sheep are shorn. The first grade class had been to her farm for the spring field trip. Thank you Judie!
Congrats Cainnin!
