The sixth graders are studying plants and what they need to survive. They conducted an experiment where one plant received light and the other one did not. They observed the differences between the plants. Thank you, Sheila Huber and the Alma Garden Gate for donating the plants.

The fifth graders are studying the engineering design process. They created a scale model of a park that had an erosion problem on the walking path. As a group, they brainstorm solutions, tested them, and came up with a solution to fix the problem.



Congratulations to Colton Brecka on being selected for the 2021 Dairyland All-Conference Basketball Second Team!

Since March is “Music In Our Schools Month” Mrs. Draxler-Ruff wanted to give you an update on the activities that are taking place in the band room. The Alma Middle School students have completed Level 1 and are now competing in Level 2. Thank you to these ladies for keeping the forensics program active in our middle school. Congratulations on your achievement! Nicole Walker and Madison Wick performed, "Life 101." Nicole Walker and Elizabeth Graner performed, "Who’s on First?" Finley Noll, Mya Stewart, and Chloe Reed performed, "Dear Dumb Diary."




Congratulations to these 6th grade forensics students for advancing to Level 2 virtual judging! Thank you for keeping the forensics program alive in the 6th grade.
Olivia Larson, Alexis Koch, Nevayah Merchlewitz competed with a piece called, "Junie B. Jones."


The Alma High School students were successful in the subdistrict judging for high school forensics. These students will now advance to the district level. Thank you for this effort in our program and CONGRATULATIONS, ladies!
Katrina Heller participated in the poetry category. Emma Myren, Jessica Meier, and Brooke Priefert participated in group interpretation.
