Katie Walsh
TEACHER BIO
Hello, my name is Katie Walsh and I am the School Nurse for Alma (and Pepin) school. I graduated from Winona State University with a bachelor's in nursing and have worked in a variety of settings including, long term care, acute care, public health and the school. I started at Pepin School in 2014 and joined Alma in 2022. I really like being a school nurse because I can develop long term relationships with the students and also promote health and wellness!
I am originally from Pepin (Go Lakers!) and now live in Durand with my two sons, Avery and Gabe. When I am not working, you can likely find me cheering them on in sports, taking them fishing, skiing, gardening or cooking/baking something tasty at home. One thing about me that some people may not know is that I was homeschooled until 5th grade.
