The elementary students were getting into the festive time of the year. Each day this week, they are given a different theme for each day. Today, they dressed up with their best holiday hats or their craziest hair.
Alma 7-12 started the last week before Christmas Break with a pajama day. Dress up for tomorrow is dress like your favorite Christmas character.

Alma’s Media Marketing team was given the opportunity to create their own streaming broadcast for Alma-Pepin Sports. APSN (Alma Pepin Sports Network) is completely student-led by seven students ranging from Sophomores to Seniors. The students have been discussing this since school started and were finally allowed to showcase it. Friday, December 8th, was the first live stream on their brand new YouTube channel (@ Alma Media Team.) Tune into the game on Friday the 15th for the next APSN segment hosted by Madox Stewart and Trenton Krzoska.

2nd Grade is getting into the holiday spirit. They helped Mrs. Brevick decorate the Elementary tree by making reindeer ornaments. They even wrote Elf applications. Hope Santa hires them all!
Student of the Week
Reece Soderberg is this week's student of the week. Reece is in the 10th grade at Alma Area Schools. Reece is the son of Abby Soderberg and Carlos Thomas and has “too many siblings”. He has a main role on the varsity line in Football and this year's Pep Band playing percussion. Reece’s one wish is to make the school's weight room bigger because he loves lifting weights. His biggest role model is Madox Stewart because he is someone he looks up to when it comes to athletics. After high school, Reece wants to be a heavy equipment operator.
5th and 6th graders have been working with Nurse Katie to "grow" germs. We touched the petri dishes with clean hands and dirty hands to see if there was a difference in germ growth (see pic). A microscope was then used to look more closely at the germs! WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!
From Coach Midtovne:
