🍎🎃 Our Rivermen Clubhouse students are getting into the fall spirit with a fun art project! Recently, they worked together to create apple prints that will soon become spooky Jack-o-lanterns. It’s amazing to see their creativity and teamwork in action! 🍁🎨👻
On Saturday, October 5 Broken Guiding Co. & Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance are hosting a free paddling event from 11AM to 3PM at Beach Park. In addition, there will be a Paddling Film Festival at Widespot Performing Arts Center at 6PM. Student tickets are free!

This week's elementary student of the week is Paisley Eckelberg. Paisley is a pre-schooler this year. She is the daughter of Josh and Molly Eckelberg and has a brother named Gunnar. She has two pets; Snoop the guinea pig, and Chubby the dog. Her favorite color is pink, and she enjoys playing with baby dolls. Paisley loves to come to school and play with her friends. Her favorite thing to learn in Pre-School is how to spell her name. She likes to eat hot sauce and pizza at lunch, but her favorite is chicken nuggets. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Paisley said she wants to be, “Mike Wisowski from Monsters Inc.” Congratulations Paisley on being this week's student of the week!
Congratulations to this week's high school student of the week, Sarah Burrow. Her parent's names are Thomas and our very own Spanish teacher, Amanda Burrow. Sarah also has two siblings Esther and Maria Burrow. In Sarah's free time, she likes to cook. She finds satisfaction in making new recipes for herself to try. When Sarah grows, up she wants to become a real estate agent because she thinks it would be an enjoyable profession, and she looks forward to dressing up for her job. Sarah said her favorite class is Mrs.Kzoska’s because she is really easy to understand, and she makes English very fun. Congratulations Sarah Burrow!

The yearly Eagles and Eaglets started on Homecoming morning. The Eagles began by reading in different classrooms to all Eaglets!

Working on reading fluency is more fun with a partner! 2nd graders are having fun doing something called AB reading, where each partner gets to take turns reading, and then they read together. Fluency is an important goal this year in the 2nd grade classroom!
Today Alma student, Tori Creighton attended the WIAA District 1 Area Meeting. One of Tori's opportunities as a person on the Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) is participating in local meetings with other student-athletes and athletic directors. She introduced herself, talked about why she joined SALT, and introduced one of the main topics the group has decided to focus on this year which was getting the community to attend more athletic events.
This week's student of the week is Trent Wick. Trent is a second grader this year. His parents are Tom and Mindy Wick, and he has four siblings: Mackenzie, Madalyn, Trevor, and Molly. His favorite classes are physical education and art. He enjoys eating hamburgers and mac and cheese for school lunches. When at recess, his go-to activity is the merry-go-round with his friends. Trent lives on his family farm and has many pets including his dog named Busch, and 109 goats. Trent's favorite thing to do is help his dad on the farm. Congratulations on being this week's student of the week Trent.
This week’s Alma highschool student of the week is Braiden Grainer, affectionately known as “Tua”. As a member of the Eagles Football Team for eight years, playing tight end and safety, he gained this nickname from the coaching staff, and it has stuck. Braiden enjoys playing and watching football; his favorite team is the Green-Bay Packers. During school, Braiden’s favorite class is math, and in band and pep-band he enjoys playing the drums. At home with his parents, Stephanie and Pete, Braiden has two cats: Jordy and Bucky. Congratulations Tua on being the student of the week!

We worked hard and we played hard this week on the Elementary end!
We caught our B4 students enjoying a snack after naptime, 1st and 4th graders hard at work in their classrooms, Mrs. Goeldner with a group of students studying, AND 2nd and 3rd graders playing Four Square in the sunshine!
