Hi, all! Almost everyone drinks coffee and tea - every day! Here is an easy way to make it count for a good cause...and help us raise funds for Alma Elementary School. Our Giving Bean fall fundraiser may be over, but did you know that we have an ongoing webstore where we can continue to raise funds for PIE and our wonderful, little school? Giving Bean is a specialty coffee roaster and tea blender that ships directly to homes everywhere. We will receive 25% on most items purchased through our webstore and there are even autoship subscription options for our supporters and loved ones who love their coffee/tea! It's really a simple and delicious way for people to help ..BUT we need YOUR help to spread the word! Our Goal: We are in the midst of making playground improvements and, as you may know, the equipment and installation is incredibly expensive. We managed to raise about $2,000 for our playground during our fall fundraiser, but we are continuing to allocate funds raised to this purpose, so that we can make more fun & exciting changes for our kids! What to do? Here is the link to our webstore! https://www.givingbean.com/store/home.php?partner=dd7e1 Two ways to spread the word! 1. EMAIL/TEXT - There is a template below that you can copy and paste into an email or text, or write your own and make sure to include our link. 2. FACEBOOK (or other social media) - SUPER EASY! Click on the same link and use the Facebook share button (choose "share as message"). Copy the message below or write your own own appeal, then select friends to message. You can also post a message to your Facebook profile instead, if you wish. Or, do both! Here's that template for you to copy & paste: Hey there, friends! Would you support Alma Elementary School with your next coffee or tea purchase? Alma Elementary School is dedicated to making some fun & exciting playground improvements for our kids in 2025! We are selling specialty coffee & tea through a company called Giving Bean. Giving Bean is a specialty coffee roaster and tea-blender! Please click the link to support this cause! Thanks so much for your kindness! https://www.givingbean.com/store/home.php?partner=dd7e1 Alma PIE

Our First Grade class has adopted a calf this year. Her name is Spot and she is a Jersey/Flekviah Cross. She was born on September 1, 2024 to Schleis Farm LLC in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. Farmer Tasha is her owner. When Spot was born she weighed 159 pounds and stood at 33 inches. We have loved learning about her!

It was Gingerbread Day in 2nd Grade! We read stories about the Gingerbread Baby and How to Catch the Gingerbread Man. In math, we practiced estimating and measuring some gingerbread houses in centimeters. Then we got to make some graham cracker gingerbread houses following the plans we made yesterday. It was such a fun and sweet day to be in 2nd Grade!

This week's student of the week goes to junior, Amber Meier. Amber is the youngest daughter of Dan and Shannon; she has one sister, Jessica, who also went to Alma. Amber loves how small Alma is and how she knows everyone. During school, Amber’s favorite subject is Math with Mr.Killian, but Mrs. Krzoska is her ultimate favorite teacher since she always has things for the students to complete. Amber participates in volleyball, softball, band, and forensics. After graduation, she plans on attending CVTC to become a dental hygienist. During the summer, Amber works at the school as a janitor where she enjoys talking with all her co-workers. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Congratulations Amber and keep up the good work.

This week's elementary Student of the Week is Raymond Bowler. Raymond has two cats, Spooky and Olive, and is the youngest son of Sara and Martin. In school, he plays football, basketball, and baseball. Meanwhile outside of school, he plays catch with his brother, John, and plays video games, specifically Fortnite. Ray's favorite subject is science because he loves doing “fun projects.” Even though he loves doing his projects, he can make time for his favorite lunch, The Eagle Burger. Congratulations Raymond Bowler!
